A tincture is the quietest thing on a dispensary menu. No smoke, no equipment, no packaging that looks like confectionery — just a small bottle and a dropper. It is also the format most people walk past, usually because nobody has explained what it is for. This page covers how tinctures work, what is on our shelf, and who tends to buy them.

What a tincture actually is
A tincture is cannabis extract suspended in a carrier oil, usually MCT, and measured out with a dropper. You place the dose under your tongue and hold it there for a minute or so before swallowing.
That holding step is the whole point. Held under the tongue, some of the dose is taken up through the tissue in your mouth rather than going through your digestive system, and people commonly report it arriving sooner than a gummy does. Swallow it straight away and you have essentially taken an edible, with the slower timing that implies. Same bottle, two quite different experiences, decided by what you do for sixty seconds.
The other reason people choose tinctures is control. A dropper lets you take a smaller or larger amount than a pre-portioned gummy allows, and adjust it next time. For anyone who finds a whole edible too much and half an edible awkward to divide, that is the appeal.
This is general product information, not medical advice. If you have a health condition, are pregnant, or take prescription medication, speak to a clinician before using cannabis in any form.
What is on our shelf
Tinctures is a small, deliberately chosen category rather than a wall of options, and it splits three ways.
CBD and CBN from Vlasic Labs. The largest group, and the one people come in for by name — Relief CBD Isolate, an Organic Broad Spectrum CBD, and a Sleep CBN Isolate for people who are specifically after CBN rather than CBD. These are the low-to-no-THC end of the shelf.
Full-spectrum blends from Veterans Choice Creations. Handmade in Broadalbin, New York by a disabled-veteran-owned business, and the most interesting thing in the category. Rather than isolating one cannabinoid they combine several — THC alongside CBD, CBN and CBG in stated amounts. Specific bottles rotate, so the live listing is the place to see which are in.
Solventless rosin from Trout & Co. Their Ampersand range sits in this category but is a powder rather than a dropper bottle, made with solventless live rosin and intended to be mixed into something — Z-Punch and Miami Vice. It is the THC-forward option here, and both usually carry the bundle tag.
CBD-forward or THC-forward
This is the distinction that matters most in this category, and it is not obvious from the bottles.
The Vlasic Labs tinctures lead with CBD or CBN. The Trout & Co. rosin powders lead with THC. The Veterans Choice blends contain both, in amounts printed on the label and listed on the menu.
Neither direction is better, and we will not tell you what a particular cannabinoid will do for you — responses vary, the research is still developing, and the label states what is in the bottle. What our team can tell you is which ones customers come back for. If you want one without the other, say so and we will point you at the right end of the shelf.
Using one for the first time
Start smaller than you think
A dropper is marked so you can take part of one. Begin at the low end of what the label suggests.
Hold it, then swallow
Under the tongue for about a minute. Swallowing immediately turns it into a slower-acting edible.
Wait before repeating
Give it a couple of hours before deciding whether to take more, exactly as you would with an edible.
Tincture, edible or something you inhale
If you want the effect soonest, inhaling is still the fastest route, which is what vapes and flower are for. If you want something simple to carry and share, edibles or a can are easier.
A tincture earns its place when you want fine control over the amount, no smell and nothing to inhale, and a bottle that lasts weeks rather than an evening. That combination is why it is a quietly popular delivery order, and why a lot of people who buy one keep buying them.
Pickup or delivery, same shelf
A tincture is small, unbreakable in a bag and lasts a long time, which makes it one of the easier things to have brought to you. Delivery is free across Westchester County and the Bronx, most orders arrive within one to two hours, and the last delivery of the night arrives by 11 PM, seven days a week — an arrival time rather than an ordering deadline.
Tinctures count toward the same offers as the rest of the menu, so the current deals and bundles are worth a look first — the buy-any-three bundle applies across the menu, and the Trout & Co. rosin powders usually carry the tag.
Tinctures FAQ
Held under the tongue, people commonly report it arriving sooner than a gummy. Swallowed straight down it behaves like an edible, which can take up to two hours. Either way, wait before taking more.
It depends entirely on the bottle. The CBD and CBN tinctures on our shelf are not THC-forward; the solventless rosin powders are. The label and the menu listing both state what is in each one.
Yes, and the rosin powders are made for exactly that. Bear in mind that mixing it into food means it is digested like an edible, so it will take longer to arrive.
Longer than most formats. A bottle taken in single servings typically lasts weeks rather than days, which is part of why regular customers favour them.
Somewhere cool and out of direct light, with the cap on and well away from children and pets. Storage guidance is printed on the bottle.
No. We are a licensed adult-use dispensary, so anyone 21 or over with valid photo ID can buy from the whole menu, tinctures included.
