Concentrates are the most jargon-heavy part of any dispensary menu. Badder, rosin, resin, sift, sugar, hash — the names describe texture and extraction method rather than strength, and almost nobody explains which is which. This page does, and it is also the one category where the hardware you own decides what is worth buying.

Solventless or solvent-extracted — the division that matters
Every concentrate falls on one side of this line, and it is the first thing to understand.
Solventless concentrates are made using only heat, pressure, ice and water. Nothing chemical is introduced. Live rosin and hash are the main examples, and they sit at the premium end of the category on both price and flavour.
Solvent-extracted concentrates use a solvent — typically hydrocarbon or CO₂ — which is then purged. Live resin is the common example. These are perfectly legitimate products, tested the same way, and often more affordable for comparable quality.
Neither is automatically better. The honest summary is that solventless commands a premium for flavour and the way it is made, and a well-made live resin outperforms a mediocre rosin.
The textures, decoded
Most of the words on the menu describe consistency, which affects how the product handles rather than how strong it is.
Badder (also written batter) is whipped to a soft, cake-frosting texture. Easy to scoop, which makes it a sensible first concentrate.
Rosin ranges from soft and buttery to firmer depending on the press and the starting material. Live rosin is pressed from fresh frozen plant material.
Sugar has a wet, granular look, like damp brown sugar.
Crumble is dry and breaks apart, which some people find easier to portion.
Static sift hash is a traditional solventless product made by separating trichomes mechanically.
Jam, sauce and diamonds describe products where a crystalline portion sits in a terpene-rich liquid.
None of these names tells you the strength. That is on the label and the lab certificate, not in the texture.
You need the right hardware
This is the practical catch, and the reason concentrates are a smaller category than flower.
Most concentrates need a dab rig, an electronic rig, or a vaporizer designed for extracts. A standard 510 vape battery will not take raw concentrate, and nothing in this category works in a pipe without the right attachment. Dab tools and related hardware are listed under accessories on the menu.
If you do not own any of that and want the same extract quality without the kit, a live rosin vape cartridge or disposable is the simpler route — it is the same class of extract in a device that needs nothing else.
This is general product information, not medical advice.
The brands on the shelf
Concentrates is a focused selection rather than a sprawling one, weighted toward solventless. Brands we have carried include MFNY, Jaunty, Olio, Rythm, Hudson Cannabis, Moonlit Hash Co., Static Room, Trout & Co., Umamii, Revival, Nyce and Heavy Hitters.
Because the category is smaller and moves quickly, the live menu is the only reliable list.
Pickup or delivery, same shelf
Delivery is free across Westchester County and the Bronx, most orders arrive within one to two hours, and the last delivery of the night arrives by 11 PM, seven days a week — an arrival time rather than an ordering deadline.
If you are buying concentrate for the first time, the store is the better option. It is the category where a two-minute conversation saves the most money, and our team will tell you plainly if what you want does not suit the hardware you own. Current deals and bundles apply here as they do everywhere else on the menu.
Concentrates FAQ
Both start from flash-frozen plant material. Live resin is solvent-extracted; live rosin is solventless, pressed with heat and pressure. Rosin generally costs more.
Badder is the usual recommendation — it is forgiving to handle and easy to portion. Start with a small amount; concentrates are considerably stronger than flower.
No. Raw concentrate needs a rig or a vaporizer built for extracts. A pre-filled rosin cartridge is the alternative if you do not want the hardware.
No. Badder, crumble and sugar describe consistency only. Strength is on the label and the lab certificate.
Cool, dark and sealed. Heat and light degrade them faster than they degrade flower, and texture can change in a warm room.
Dab tools and related hardware are listed under accessories on the menu. Ask in store if you are not sure what fits what.
