Znacks is a Preferred Gardens cross of Chauffeur and Runtz — sweet candy and acai over heavy gas. It is also the one strain on our shelf our own menu and our own grower label two different ways.
What Znacks is
Znacks comes from Preferred Gardens, who give it a parentage of Chauffeur crossed with Runtz. That Runtz side is the one you taste first — the candy sweetness running through the whole family is unmistakable here, pushed further into berry and gas.
Worth saying on the spelling: our menu prints Znacks, but a lot of people search for it as znackz, and some shops list it as Snacks. Same flower.
We also carry Preferred Gardens’ Red Hotz, Permanent Marker and Zoap, so Znacks sits in a familiar house style: loud, terpene-forward, heavy on the finish.
Indica or sativa? Our own sources disagree
This is the honest answer, and it is more useful than picking one. The badge on our menu says sativa. Preferred Gardens’ own product description for the same jar calls it a potent indica with deep, body-heavy relaxation. The effect tags attached to that same listing read happy, creative, focused, inspired and uplifted — which is the opposite again.
We print what the grower supplies rather than quietly correcting it, which is how a contradiction like this becomes visible. Zoap has the same problem on our shelf for a different reason: two growers, two labels. The practical takeaway is the one we give on every guide — the indica and sativa label is a rough sorting tool, and aroma and terpene profile tell you far more.

Sweet candy leads, with acai and darker berry behind it and a heavy gas undertone. It is a mouth-coating flavour rather than a light one, and it lingers.

Given the labelling conflict above, reports split too. The effect tags on our listing lean bright — happy, creative, focused, inspired, uplifted — while the grower’s written description describes something much heavier. The terpene sheet leads with linalool and limonene over beta-caryophyllene and myrcene, which is a profile that can read either way depending on the batch and the person.
