Zoap: lineage, aroma and why two growers label it differently
Zoap is the clearest example on our whole menu of why the indica and sativa labels should be treated as a starting point. We carry it from two growers — and they classify it differently.
What Zoap is
Zoap was bred by Deo Farms from Rainbow Sherbert crossed with Pink Guava. That is the same breeding programme behind RS-11, which is why the two share a creamy, citrus-led character underneath their very different top notes.
Preferred Gardens lists their Zoap as a hybrid. Wizard Trees lists theirs as an indica. Both are on our shelf, both are correctly labelled by their grower, and the difference is genuine — phenotypes within one strain vary, and classification is not standardised across the industry.

A clean, soapy floral note up front, which is where the name comes from, over sweet citrus and a light gassy base.
